On 14 September 2021 CASAC hosted its annual Kader Asmal Human Rights Lecture.

This year’s lecture will be delivered by Professor Salim Abdool Karim under the theme “COVID-19 and Human Rights: A tiny virus magnifies society’s inequalities”. Prof Abdool Karim is a clinical infectious diseases epidemiologist and a recognised world leader in AIDS research and was previously at the forefront of the South African government’s response to COVID-19.
