Earlier today, Lawson Naidoo commented on the President’s appointment of Adv Andy Mothibi, the current head of the Special Investigating Unit (SIU), as the new National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP). This follows the conclusion of the Advisory Panel, comprised of leaders of key constitutional and legal institutions and chaired by Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi, that none of the six shortlisted candidates were suitable for the role.
