CASAC mourns the untimely death of Auditor General, Mr Kimi Makwetu after a battle with cancer. As a civil servant of many years, Mr Makwetu brought professionalism, passion and commitment to the public sector at a time where the country’s public institutions needed men and women of stature and integrity. In rising to head up this critical Chapter Nine institution Mr Makwetu demonstrated the diligence, tenacity and commitment to good governance that should be a hallmark of all public servants.
